There was a base. Thank you, Force. Cassian instantly threw himself into whatever duties were handed him to get the place up and running as quickly as possible. Even though what he wanted to be doing was stand in the hangar and watch every single person disembark until he saw who he was looking for.

The command center was operational and the rooms heated by the time Cassian could check in at the tarmac. There was a wait to get to the droid with the roster—of course their was, nobody could stand to go anywhere without…

Cassian got in line, sort of, but his eyes were scanning the hangar, his hands fisted at his sides. Was this every transport? Had they all gotten away? He didn't hear any sobbing or wailing which was a very good sign. What he did hear was his comm ping at him. No! But of course he answered, and tore himself off the tarmac as Draven summoned him for another task.

Once in the situation room, however, Cassian could no longer contain himself. (How many times was this now he put her ahead of the mission…)

"General," said Cassian, "I won't be helpful to you until I find Jyn Erso."

Draven's eyebrows raised, but he didn't seem particularly surprised. "All transports got away. I'm sure she's fine and you'll see her when things get—"

"I need to find her now," said Cassian. Interrupting.

Draven's brows lifted further. But, mercifully, he nodded and gestured Cassian was released. Cassian saluted and started as fast as he could back to the hangar bay.
