Old habits. At least it wasn't very obvious that was what he was doing. As for Jyn ... it had just been a long time since she'd shared such intimate contact with anyone. It was just a little overwhelming - but Jyn did not let go.
She was silent as she listened to Gabrael's offer, and took her time in pondering it. Jyn Erso was not a particularly naive woman, and knew that there was an underlying layer to it - and that it probably mean that he was affiliated with the Rebels if not an outright part of them.
But -
"My nursing skills?", she gently teased. "Do you get into enough trouble to warrant keeping me around?"
All teasing aside, after another quiet moment, she spoke up again. "You think your people would accept someone like me?"
