It was certainly overwhelming, to find herself gathered so gently and pulled closer than they had ever been before, to feel his fingers in her hair, making her shiver pleasantly, his arm as it curled around her and held her steady ...
Well ... sublime was the only word that came to mind. She felt so dizzy, in all the very best ways.
Her own fingers stroked his shoulder softly, felt along the line of his side, taking in the warmth of his skin. Not quite the exploration of his scars she had initially meant, but maybe, in this moment at least, better.
