Ridiculously enough ... Jyn felt comfortable here, too, with a relative stranger than she'd felt the entire time she had been stationed at Carbon Ridge. Was she going soft? Or maybe even crazy?

But hearing him ask her to stay in that hazy, soft voice - there was little for Jyn to do but reply an equally soft 'yes'. He didn't need to know how lonely she was, how often she ached for some sort of real companionship that didn't revolve around what she could do for them in return.
