He wasn't ignoring Jyn's warning; but caving in to this too easily would be more suspicious than not. "I'm sorry, Director, but I answer to the Admiral, not to you. I believe an Admiral still outranks a Director. I thank you for the warning—I will keep my eyes open for any unsavory acquaintance on Jyn's part. I could even talk to you about it. But I don't think the Admiral would approve of your threat."
